Annual Lunch Flocking

Unfortuantley there are some of us who appear to be confused of the exact date for our Annual Lunch Flocking. It was first posted on 22 September & then edited on 3 October. (IE: 50 DAYS AGO). To dispell any confusion.

To be held at Zanas Restaurant 1200 Sunday 13 Decemeber. 2 Menus to choose from. A la Carte or the "Pay what you think it's worth menu". All good.

Bras N Bikes 2009

This Sunday, 18 October, is the annual Bras'n'Bikes charity ride. Leaving the Ettamogah Pub at 9pm, registration is $10. Dress up your bike in pink and come along! Steve and Noi will be there (we are taking a break from the restaurant specially for the occasion). See you there?

JAG and a small contingent are heading off to PI for the GP. Meeting at Chez Andre at the usual time and heading at 0930 to Killarney Pub for O/N. Those that would like to have a decent ride :;)

might like to tag along to Killarney for the day and back late afternoon. Discuss at the off on the day.

As hard as he could, Spruce Goose was unable to find out if Chris Vermeulen is riding for BMW next year in the Super Bike Series. There may be some word from Chris in a week or two as to his intentions &on good authority it may be announced on Coast FM. Stay Tooned. :;)

Butterfly Ride 09

Rod Mac at the Appollonian hotel at the end of the Butterfly ride . Only three Geese turned up being , Rod , Mark and Margaret & JAG. Double the turn up of previous year.

Yep, sorry about that I was trying to get there but was called away. Next time.

Davo Far Rider Has Gone

We were just talking the other day how lucky we are that as a group, despite a few scrapes & a few dents, we have been fortunate not to have lost one of our flock. Then, out of the blue, news of Davo Far Rider's death comes to us. Davo was not a regular Wild Goose but rode with us from time to time. He was passionate about his long distance rides as his web site will attest.

Davo was competing in the 2009 Iron Butt Rally in the USA & when, within 100kms of the finish, ran into a wild deer with tragic consequence.

To Davo's Family & Friends, The Wild Geese, One & All, Express Our Heartfelt Condolences.
